A charming and characterful breed, the Bearded Collie that we know today, has its origins in the Scottish Highlands, hence my setting of mountains, glen and loch. The fiery-red sky of evening and the two bundles of mischief, cavorting together under their mother's watchful eye, suggested the title. Nigel Hemming
